Improvements to Sloan’s Lake?
Unfortunately the City of Denver past up the opportunity to host the 2010 Red Bull Flugtag. Which is an event known nation wide as a wild attempt by amateurs to create a flying machine that only plunges them deep into the water. Sloan’s Lake was too shallow and was unacceptable for the energy drink’s event. The compromise would have been for the city to dredge the bottom and make it deeper, or take all the water out, dig and replace the water. The city decided to skip the event, which would brought thousands of dollars to local business. But they still have 3 million dollars in bond moneydedicated to Sloan’s in which voters approved for to be distributed for parks, recreations, libraries, and schools. The plan for that money is to build a jetty and walkway.
The actual lake at Sloan’s was in dire need for improvements. But is more concrete and some irrigation to the boat house enough? Maybe we should ask the brave souls that go wake boarding in that water.

Well What I heard was the the picture you display above is a cistern used to filter the water entering the lake and that they are opening a restaurant in the boat house. Did they pare down the project?
Chris
I have never heard talk of a restaurant being placed in the boat house. You have inspired me to dig deeper.
