Usually it is not appropriate to discuss drinking adult beverages and elementary schools within the same sentence, but for this event it is. The Hawaiian Highlands Pub Crawl will be great fun for adults and will directly benefit four Northwest Denver elementary schools: Brown, Cheltenham, Edison, and Valdez. For only $20, each participant gets a drink or a bite at ten different Highland Square area restaurants (Basil Doc’s, Coral Room, El Camino, Garganzo, Heidi’s, Highlands Cork and Coffee, Highland Pacific, Mead Street Station, Sushi Hai/ Hai Bar, and Three Dogs Tavern). In addition to all the crawling, there are fabulous door prizes to win, a costume contest, and local music to end the night at the Hai Bar. Come before 8:30 to El Camino to get your I Heart Northwest Denver sticker, because after that, I will be crawling too!

Date: Sat, August 28th
WOW! A total of $12,200 was raised at the Hawiian Highland Pub Crawl. Which equates to a little over $3,000 per Elementary School that deems to benefit. Seeing as though this was the first, of hopefully an annual event, I would dare to say it was a success. Let’s just hope the Square knows to prepare better for us next time.
