Ukulele Sing & Strum-A-Longs at the Children’s Museum

Wednesday evenings in November:  11/3, 11/10, 11/17, and 11/24 6:00-6:30pm Swallow Hill Music presents the Ukulele Sing & Strum-A-Long at the Children’s Museum of Denver! They’ll bring the ukuleles and a few simple songs to teach the whole family. Ukes are recommended for kids 5 and up, but all ages are welcome to enjoy in the fun! Denver’s Witches Ball

October 23rd is the Nineteenth Annual Witches Ball, a Pagan Halloween Masquerade Ball at the Highlands Masonic Center.  There is a whole slew of things to do at this event: live music and dancing, a costume contest, a sacred ceremony, shopping at the Magickal Marketplace, and even psychics of every kind.  And of course there will be fun for the kiddos as well: their own costume contest, craft center, and a bubble dance.  Read More

Plant Exchange

The Conflict Center is putting on its Third Annual Plant Exchange at the 23rd Avenue Sculpture Studio.  Admission is free and everyone is welcome.  If you do decide to participate in the plant exchange, you can bring seeds, bulbs, plants, and/or cuttings to trade with other gardeners.  And of course there is fun for the kids: a pumpkin decorating station (bring your own pumpkin or purchase one there).  And if you are hungry, they will have a weenie roast for only $2 a person. ... Read More
